Hello guys!:) With this post I would like to introduce our new blog topic – Korean fashion!
It is well-known that with Hallu (Korean wave spreading all over the world) not only Korean K-pop culture and dramas are getting popular but fashion is well. In fact, Korean fashion has earned its place in global fashion arena. People especially teenagers are going crazy with all these colorful and trendy Korean clothes and accessories. There are 5 basic trends that make Korean fashion so unique:
1- Loose fitting – I would say most of the upper clothes (t-shorts, shorts, coats, jackets) are loose. And the funny thing is that most of the Korean girls look even cuter in those loose outfits.
2- Asymmetrical things – Korean designers are good innovators. And all of the fashionable pieces are asymmetrical. If you go to some shops like A-LAND for example, you will surprised by diversity of colors, materials, styles and its combination.
3- Accessories are important! – Hats, caps, glasses, belts, bags of all sizes and materials, hairpins, earrings, necklaces, rings, laces and cellphone accessories. Accessories are considered as a very important part of fashionable outfit.
4- Leather – leather is cool
5- Very short skirts and shorts. Korean girls and women often wear very short skirts and shorts. I was quite stunned when I first visit Korea and I know that for most of the foreigners this is quiet shocking.
Sooo… what about KU? our KU is not only about study after all^^ We do have funny part as well. Right after Seoul Fashion Week, we had Fashion street show on campus. And one of our PR ambassadors Yon Soo took part in it.
